I am the proud road pony mom of I'm a Believer (Benny) and the incredible girl who rides and drives him. We finished our last year of academy last year showing saddlebreds and my daughter test drove a road pony and we found what she was born to do.
She'll be showing both in driving and under saddle (although we just started breaking him for that -- but it is going remarkably well.) Three years ago, I just thought a horse was a horse and all ponies were just mean Shetlands (no offense to the Shetland peeps -- just had really bad experiences growing up!) Now, we're totally in love with saddlebreds and hackneys!
I think we've got all of our equipment and clothing (love her roadster silks -- green and bright purple) so I can't wait for show season. We'll be at several shows in the Midwest -- hope to see some of you there! |

We're located in Norwalk, Iowa -- just south of Des Moines. We ride with Greenwood Stables -- Rob and Stefanie Kritzler are our trainers.
I see you're from MN -- will you be at Tanbark? |

I am pretty new to Hackney ponies. I just bought my first last March, now I have 3. What is Tanbark?
Mike Herron is just a little northwest of Des Moines. I have visited his farm and Darrel Kolkman's farm.
Let me know about Tanbark.
Thanks! _________________ Visit us at www.triangleponies.com

We're not too far from Herron's -- only about 30 min. He's at a lot of the shows we go to.
Tanbark Cavalcade of Roses is held at the MN State Fairgrounds the end of June. It's the only MN show we'll show at. It's a pretty big show, but they do a nice job with it -- HUGE arena -- a lot of room for road ponies to open up.
Otherwise, we do mostly shows in Iowa. We do 1 in NE and 2 in MO. |

DO they have in hand classes? I don't have old enough stock to drive yet. I have only heard of one show in IA, otherwise the big shows in IL, IN, OH, KS. _________________ Visit us at www.triangleponies.com

| I don't think so -- but I do think Mid-States does. It's held at the Iowa state Fairgrounds the 2nd weekend in July. It seems like they have just about every pony class imaginable -- including Shetland and maybe other breeds. I know they have in-hand classes because I've always thought how cute the little ponies are. |

If they have EVEN a C rated show on the ASPC (shetland), ASPR, and have in hand classes, I would really like to hear from this show!!!!!
Thanks! Do you know where I find information on this show? _________________ Visit us at www.triangleponies.com
